Application Instructions
SAFETY NOTE: Always wear long sleeved gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing during application.
Always perform a trail patch before applying Ecostrip Paint Stripper.
Preparation:
Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Protect surrounding areas with a drop cloth or plastic sheeting.
Step 1: Apply ECOSTRIP Paint Stripper
Use a brush to apply a thick, even layer of ECOSTRIP generously to the surface.
Step 2: Leave for 1-24 hours
Allow to sit for 1-24 hours, depending on the number of paint layers and the type of coating. Check periodically on the paint to see if it has lifted.
If you notice ECOSTRIP evaporating and drying out, cover treated surface with a plastic film or drop sheet.
Step 3: Remove Paint
Use a plastic or metal scraper to gently lift and remove softened paint. For stubborn or hard-to-reach areas, use a stiff brush or steel wool. Wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
Step 4: Neutralise the Surface (Recommended for Wood)
Apply ECOSTRIP Wood Neutraliser using a cloth or sponge. Leave for 5–10 minutes, then rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. This step ensures proper stain or paint adhesion and prevents discoloration.
Step 5: Let Dry & Refinish
Allow the surface to fully dry. Apply your choice of wood stain, paint, or protective finish.
